SIMPLE PLAN plus Avril Lavigne
Posted at 11:52 AM
THE CONCERT
I am so blessed with my friend Elmer. Because of him, my friends and I felt so young screaming and tagging along with young guys and girls as Simple Plan rocked The Fort last night. I am not really a big fan but the Silver ticket (worth P1500) is free. There you go. Bonez Tour was more of like a Simple Plan’s concert than Avril’s.
The only best part for me is when Avril played the drums while that guitarist guy from Simple Plan sang “Song 2” by Blur. That one really rocks, big time. But I have to be honest, I kind of like memorized some Avril’s songs so these young girls were staring at me as I sing some songs intended for girls only. Very fun! Maybe, I am just trying to utilize something that I got for free. I am not a fan of Avril, honestly. =)
Still, I’d go for the Jars of Clay concert. Sorry, Avril.
On my tricycle ride home around 2am, I thought some drank dude sat beside me. He started to strike up a conversation babbling words I didn’t understand. Then I realized, he wanted to tell me how he was robbed in the bus by some guys in Bicutan as the other passengers just watched them. His wedding ring was robbed, together with all his silver jewelry because the holdappers told him so. They, now, demand for Silver only jewels. Wow! My friend and I were supposed to ride that bus from Guadalupe but we chose the other one instead that travels directly to Alabang. Blessings in disguise. Thanks Lord.
BLESSINGS 101
Elmer He won 12 General Admission and 6 Silver tickets in Avril. Because of that, we felt like we won, too. Since he, and his marketing manager John, sold the other tickets to scalpers, we got free late-night dinner after the concert. Also, this goes for the advance screening tickets. Thank you.
Joshua Harris Yeah, he is the author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye. He has a new book, forgot the title, but it entails how to resist lust, most especially for guys who can’t get enough of masturbation in a week. Very helpful. Thank you.
Mom Never gets mad when I got home late, because of concerts and non-school stuff and for anxiously waiting for me at late nights. Thank you. Powerbooks This is for encouraging people to read and provide them with comfy sofa. Probably, I have gone beyond encouragement and I have already finished five books without buying any of them. Thank you.

Movie Adaptation
Posted at 01:43 AM
The movie adaptation of "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" starring Jon Voight, Ellen Burstyn, Jeff Daniels, Dagmara Dominczyk and Michel Imperioli-premieres on the Hallmark Channel on April 17.
This is Albom's second bestseller and movie after the highly successful "Tuesdays With Morrie."
May movie adaptation na pala ang all-time favorite book ko na Tuesdays With Morrie??? tsk tsk di ko lam.
Speaking of books, every summer, I get to spend more time reading. Love it. Sounds geeky, eh?
But, this week won't end until I watch the movie CLOSER.
 The End.

Mommy...
She's really freaking me out these days. She asked me about graduation. What a tearjerker!
Magastos.
Ako: O sige. Siguro nga mga August o September.
Mom: Edi pag gumradweyt ka pala, kalbo ako nun.
Ako: Pwede naman kayo mag-bonnet. Magmumukha kayong sosyal.
My mom will undergo six sessions of chemotherapy within six months starting this Tuesday. That's why.
Moving on... (IDOL)
Nikko Smith is out! Damn those Americans!
My friend Grace sent me an mp3 copy of "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Constantine Maroulis, yeah that guy from American Idol. If you want a copy, just send me ur email.
Yun lang.

JAYWALKING
Posted at 08:17 AM
I have lived my whole life in Muntinlupa. And yesterday, I almost got into jail... for the very first time.
Because of Jaywalking.
Buti na lang mababa lang ang bail, I just lost a hundred bucks. Buti na yun kesa maglinis ng bakuran ng Barangay Hall in front of my neighbors. Pucha. Ayoko na.
Tatawid na ako sa tamang tawiran. Bow.

"Lost love is still love.
It takes a different form.
You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around on the dance floor.
But when these senses waken, another heightens. . . .
Life has an end. Love doesn't."
The movie adaptation was awesome. It captures what the book "Five People You Will Meet in Heaven" is trying to convey to the readers.
"Tuesdays With Morrie", my all-time favorite book, will have its turn in the Hallmark Channel, soon! hoot-hoot!

SPONGECOLA / RIVER CONCERT
Posted at 02:54 AM
These are just opinions, not facts. So for violent reactions, just comment on this.
Talk about Filipino time, the ticket says 7pm but Juana (the first front act) appeared on the stage at around 9pm. They played only two songs. Halfway on their second song, most of us wanted Spongecola to show up. Maybe, that’s why they played only two songs.
Man, Spongecola rocks! Lunes was their first (my favorite) song. Though they only play four songs, it was a blast!
The first four songs of Kitchie Nadal made me yawning. One reason is that I do not have the album, the other is those types of songs cannot make you stand. You just sit and listen. I don’t like such gigs, I mean, being next to Spongecola and all that. Wag na Wag Mong Sasabihin and Bulong were the only songs that made people stand up. I mean, what else?
I wasn’t expecting Rivermaya to be that cool! My first ever concert in my life was their Panahon Na Naman concert, when I was in Grade 5. I used to be a big fan when Bamboo was still the vocalist. Besides, I didn’t buy the ticket for this concert since I didn’t like Rico Blanco until last Saturday. I just got it for free, from a friend who always wins in radio promos. What I did like about their performance was that they played mostly the old songs when Bamboo’s still around. I got all their first three albums that’s why. A part from the package is when Kitchie came back to sing Same Ground while Rico Blanco plays the piano. I just love it when artists collaborate during concerts. They should do that more often.
So overall, the concert should have been named Rivermaya and Spongecola Live in Araneta! That sounded better! I could’ve bought the tickets myself.
The truth is, I love Kitchie as a person (as if I know her) but not as a performer.
The end.

MAY TULO AKO
Posted at 11:07 AM
dyahe.
yun lang.

BROKEN SONNET
Posted at 07:33 AM
I alarmed my phone that the other night, the band Hale (who made me proud of Filipino music) is gonna be at Festival Mall. Quite near. Kaso may klase ako, kaya dumating ako 1 ½ hour late. Pagdating ko, Sandwich is about to perform.
I’ll leave my fears behind Cause tonight I’ll be right at your side Ilan lang kaming lalaki, baka isipin nila type ko yung vocalist. Shet man!
Huy! Pirmahan mo na ‘to!
Ako: #3 nga kanina sa RX, sabi baka mag song of the year daw! (flattery helps those who are ‘feeling close&rsquo
(naka-print sa shirt ko kasi: proud to be an engineer)
mag-utol kuya Champ and his bro
Panalo!

THE DAY YOU SAID GOODNIGHT
Hale
Take me as you are, push me off the roadThe sadness, I need this time to be with you I'm freezing in the sun; I'm burning in the rain The silence; I'm screaming, calling out your name. And I do reside in your light Put out the fire with me and find Yeah you'll lose the side of your circles That's what I'll do if we say goodbye.
To be is all I gotta be And all that I see and all that I need this time To me the life you gave me The day you said goodnight.
The calmness in your face That I see through the night The warmth of your light is pressing unto us You didn't ask me why I never would have known oblivion is falling down. And I do reside in your light Put out the fire with me and find Yeah you'll lose the side of your circles That's what I'll do if we say goodbye.
To be is all I gotta be And all that I see and all that I need this time To me the life you gave me The day you said goodnight.
If you could only know me like your prayers at night Then everything between you and me will be all right.
To be is all I gotta be And all that I see and all that I need this time To me the life you gave me The day you said goodnight.
She's already taken, she's already taken She's already taken me She's already taken, she's already taken She's already taken me. The day you said goodnight

THE FINAL 5 *Do they all deserve it? I don't think so.
The contestants performed songs from the 21st century and America voted and voted and voted. Now, it's time to say goodbye to Constantine. Your votes sent him back home, leaving America with the final five.
***
Dem! Very bad song choice for Nickelback's This Is How You Remind Me, my bet lost. Dammit! If it's not Vonzell Solomon, then screw American Idol! Screw the Americans! Screw them!
...got carried away. Sorry. I am not a racist.

Define Love
Posted at 05:31 AM
Define love is the most commonly question you have to answer in your high school friends' autograph. But have we all really figured it out?
I just don't like it when people say "I love you" and they got the wrong definition. I dunno, do I got my definition right? Maybe. Maybe not. They just don't conform according to my definitions, so that's why I think they haven't figured it out.
When you hear those three words, it just doesn't make sense at all. Maybe that's why, when you want to win somebody's heart, you don't ask. You act. People can sometimes be annoying when they ask a lot, when they want to happen what they want. In the end, saying I love you doesn't make the person felt loved at all.
Or am I just cynical?
I believe so much in love. It is not just about being committed, it is so more than that. But probably, people think I can't commit because I kissed dating goodbye. Yeah, I did. But, I really cannot figure out a lot of forwarded text messages claiming another definition of love. Most of them are wrong.
And so...
People drown in this world thinking that love is a suffering. Love is a risk. Love is being a slave. In the end, they are not happy. They are just saying they are happy because they are chasing butterflies. But love, love is not about chasing them, it is keeping them. It is about constancy and being free. You don't run towards it, nor run from it, because it is home. And home, is where we all want to be.
yun lang. the need to get it out.
